Lama Linda Teaching

April 9, 2023, 2:00-4:00pm at Ekoji Buddhist Sangha

The Kagyu Lineage:
Who We Are, Where We Come From, and How Do We Relate to It in the 21st Century?

From Lama Linda: “When we meet a teacher or encounter a dharma practice group, it’s important to investigate what their lineage is before we fully commit. More than a decade ago I shared a few thoughts on this topic in a post on my dharma website. In this session, I’ll share a little bit of the history of our practice lineage as outlined in the Mahamudra Lineage Prayer at the beginning of the Chenrezig sadhana, and we’ll discuss its meaning through the lens of the Kagyu Lineage Prayer (Dorje Chang Tungma), which I’ll also share via email in a chantable English translation. I’m very enthusiastic about this topic!” | donation appreciated
