Ekoji news Oct 2026

(from Ekoji Board notes)

The Pure Land group has ceased regular [Saturday] practice at Ekoji. We would like to commemorate their long history of practice at the annual meeting in January. If you have photos or stories to share please bring them. We are also planning a more permanent commemoration to display at Ekoji, honoring the Pure Land group as, essentially, the founding group of Ekoji.

Kitchen progress

We’re in the home stretch!

One last fundraising push will cover the last $1000 between where we are now and our goal of $15,000. Insight on the Inside’s very successful yard sale helped get us closer. We appreciate that and all that everyone has done so far!

Work-wise, what’s left: the granite backsplash, tile backsplash, wall patching, painting, and of course, clean up and final touches like towel racks, disposal bins, etc. And putting our stuff back in! Then we celebrate — by using the kitchen!

The Ekoji 40th anniversary t-shirts are now available. Pre-ordered shirts are on the shelf to the right in the library. About 20 more shirts are on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen, available to anyone else who would like to buy one. They’re $20 each, and about $5 from each sale will go toward the kitchen fund. Feel free to add more as you pay either via PayPal or the dana box.

Other items

If you have a key and are no longer using it, please return it so that we can redistribute them as needed. (And tell others who might not get these member emails.)

We are getting estimates to replace the back gutter, to alleviate water falling onto the HVAC unit outside.

We are working on a manual for all keyholders to know where the water shut off valve is, etc.
